Yogizilla I like this

Yogizilla is a 29 year old guy in a relationship from New York, New York, USA.
I'm just an average Joe looking to provide sound advice to others. In a few words, I'd consider myself a life-long learner and hopeless romantic. I love good conversation and networking. The web excites me because it continues to be home to some of the best easter eggs, knowledge, and collaborative projects. With the days of BBS and Usenet behind us (mostly), this is really the best option. If you know any sites with business/marketing knoweldge, useful tools, weird stuff, rarities, cult classics, oddities, or just plain geeky stuff, we GOTTA talk! I myself have my hands in a lot of exciting projects right now and have come across some spiffy stuff throughout my adventures so, if you are curious, just ask! ^_^
Bad Recruiters, Identity Theft, and What To Do About It & Yogizilla's...

It all started with my article on the silly things recruiters ask these days and now it seems that the hot-button topic has returned at a greater scale. I've received so much feedback. My only lament is that many of you are sending it via e-mail rather than putting your thoughts into comments. Don't be shy! This article is packed with more details about the little tricks that recruiters use to generate leads and use their prospects. I touch upon some of the reasons that they themselves are jaded and frustrated but I focus more on how job seekers can prepare themselves for virtually any job market. The threat of identity theft and other scams is very real so read on and spread the word - thanks for your support! =o)

Dr. Earl Smith of LongView provides a simple and interesting look at advisory boards and the pitfalls that many businesses succumb to in modern times. Look for my comments towards the end (yes, Yogizilla is none other than Yomar Lopez *GASP*) for my take on this. I think the information should be interesting to business owners and anyone curious about the inner workings of businesses today. I hope you find it as useful as I did!
Digg - A Tale of Job Hunting: Skills-Schmills, What About Your W2?

WHO-WEEEEE - inspiration is abundant these days! The past two months have seen many questions and articles regarding job hunting, recruiters, and the many challenges one must face as they build their career. A particular hot-button topic has been regarding recruiters and the lack of work they generally put in to help candidates out. This article touches upon some of the issues thereof so check it out and join in on the conversation! I am jumping on the bandwagon to address some less-discussed aspects. Some of the topics to be discussed include: * Resume DOs and DON'Ts. * Secrets to interviews and meetings. * Exploring the online job market. * Making a friend in the business world. Here is a piece that was very well-received and I'd like to share with you now. It deals with brand marketing, the illusion of value, and how powerhouse brands like Starbucks and Apple are brilliantly leveraging these marketing techniques. More like these to come at http://yogizilla.wordpress.com - share your feedback!
